I just realized that I haven't posted any pictures from Owen's 1st birthday {Vintage Picnic} shoot with the amazing Rosina di Trolio!

I heard this on the radio today...I haven't heard in it so long

When it came on, I thought of all the ways that C and Owen have such an awesome bond. When Daddy comes home from work, look out! Owen charges at the door, with THE biggest smile on his face, because HIS Daddy is home.

Then, C will toss him up in the air, with Owen giggling the entire time and going "Da da da da"

And...to add to the perfection, I glanced to the rear view mirror and Owen had just fallen to sleep...so sweet.

On Sunday while I was going crazy organizing the Ovarian Cancer Walk of Hope (which went SUPER well!), Owen was playing with Nana and Papi in their backyard...which happens to be a golf course....





Daddy thinks that he's well on his way to being a star golfer....Mama just wants to drive the cart!

3 Years Ago...

First came love...



Then came marriage...

Birthday Planning...already!?

Ya ya ya....I know this is a recipe for 'Are you crazy! he just turned ONE!' comments...but you should know that party planning is kind of my thing.

I've been planning O's 2nd Birthday Party since June 15th probably, or whenever Stella and Sam because a staple in our house hold. Did you know that there's a little boy named Owen on the show??

I know it's crazy to even remotely be thinking about it, considering that it's still about 10 months away...but I am thinking about it and I'm thinking about a backyard campout theme (during the day) with bedsheet tents strung from tree to tree, s'mores, sliders, watermelon, worms n' dirt favours...and lots of imagination!

What I love about Stella and Sam is that they use their imagination to turn everyday situations into something super fun. Sam always asks Stella questions like why do leaves fall from trees?...where do the stars sleep?...and then their imagination takes them on an adventure!

I know alot of you out there are trying to complete some reading challenges, and I know for me...a free book would be great to helping me accomplish my goal.

So far this year, I've read 5 of my 25...I only have a few months left so I'm getting a little anxious. Life is crazy busy right now, so pushing through a book before I go to sleep is really the last thing that I want to do.

On the flipside, it might be good to do it, and get my mind off of weddings, cakes, charity walks, sponsors, babies, houses, schools...everything!

Where have you been!?

I guess that's what some of you might be thinking? Where the heck are Shan, Col and baby Owen??

Well...we've been busy!

Mama's been busy running Sweet Stella's, organizing photo shoots, helping GodMomma with her wedding, chairing the Walk of Hope for Ovarian Cancer...

Daddy's been working like crazy, travelling for work, running the Sunshine Foundation golf tournament, and dealing with Mama being crazy...

Owen's been mastering a few new things!

• Favourite words: BAH! (bath), bum, good, go, uh-oh, mom, mama, da, dada, na (nana - this started TODAY and she doesn't even know!), gpa (Grandpa - my dad, when I talk about him, I call him Grandpa), and bafa (breakfast), mag (Maggie - I'll ask him when his kitty is and he makes a "k-tee" sound then says Mag!)
  
• LOVES to help put on his clothes first thing in the morning
• LOVES to take off his pants during naps in the afternoon
• WALKING

Yes yes! He's walking! Finally!! It's more like run-for-5-feet-and-fall-over but we'll take it! He gets so excited and he's transitioned his little booty-shake dance into a full booty-sway dance now when he gets really excited about how far he's walked.

I promise! Video's coming!!

We've also had an amazing addition to the family! Col's cousin Mike {and his lovely wife Angela} had a bay almost two weeks ago now!! little Aiden George! I'm super jealous because Col and Papi will get to meet the little guy in a couple of weeks when they travel (again) for business.

anyhow! That's all for now! I'll try try try to be better, but please bear with me! The next few weeks are crazy!
