Some Updates

I am so sorry that we haven't been updating that much lately. Things are really hectic with me running Sweet Stella's and my Coordinator gig at Life With Baby is keeping me busy as well.

Not to mention that Owen is 8.5months old...rolling all over the place and trying to crawl.

I'm still training with Liz, my fabulous trainer, though my sessions are coming to a close and we'll hopefully be renewing in June so I can continue with her. I am very proud to say that I have lost 55lbs from my pre-pregnancy weight, and am the slimmest I have been in my adult life.

C is working like a madman and chasing Owen around the floor when he's home from work.

Life is certainly busy.

As I mentioned, Owen is trying to crawl. He can get his knees up under himself, and will push himself backward, then get very frustrated that he isn't going in the direction he wanted to. He'll try and pull himself to stand if we're sitting on the floor with him, and he's getting really strong.

His favourite toys right now are tupperware containers and lids, and his favourite lovie is his Elephant, that we've named Ringo. He LOVES music and will stop whatever he is doing if there is music on the television or computer.

Mommy Makes Me Laugh

Symptoms:

- mid to lower back pain...dull aching always there pain

Cause:

A 25(ish)lbs Monster, a lowered crib mattress and a babe who likes nothing more than to rolls around with his Mom and Dad on the floor

The Remedy:

Massage. Therapy.

Hot. Yoga.

Oh my word my back is so incredibly sore. It probably doesn't help that I lug Owen around multiple times a day, that we use his crib as our changing station and have moved the mattress down a notch, train with my trainer twice a week, and am hunched over our coffee table cutting, gluing and layering paper for days on end.

Mommy's Back Hurt.

A new playlist!

While I absolutely adore that I have to sing All My Loving to Owen multiple times a day...and nothing ill every beat dancing around with him and watching him giggle to Under the Sea...

We needed something fresh.

Tonight, I was driving to my hometown for a Girly Night Out with Momma T, Godmomma, Auntie Bobo, Miss O, Mister A, and Auntie Bobo's bff, Tat, I got thinking about the songs that remind me of my Monster.

Things over the past 8 mnoths have been insane.

INSANE!

I mean...they were hard. Very incredibly ridiculously hard. Harder than I ever imagined becoming a mom would be.

I look back on it, the struggles with breastfeeding, the lack of support, the guilt, the post-partum depression and I cannot believe that I made it through without being committed to a padded room.

Then there are little moments, when I'm rocking Owen in my Mom's rocking chair, eyes closed and nodding off to dreamland...and I'll look down, see him smile with his eyes closed and snuggle in nice and close.

I wouldn't trade it, even the rocky start, for anything in the world.

So...the new playlist is for Owen. Because...well....I love him. With absolutely everything that I am, I love that Monster.

*hands you all a tissue*
